Trinity Energy Storage

Trinity Energy Storage is an operator of strategic energy storage infrastructure. Our activity focuses on the development, operation, and maintenance of underground storage infrastructure, combining operational assets with the development of new capacities primarily linked to renewable hydrogen storage.

We operate across three main areas:

  • Natural gas storage as operators of the “Marismas” Storage facility

  • Development of underground renewable hydrogen storage through Aljarafe

  • Research and innovation through national and European R+D+I projects.

Our team

The Trinity team is made up of professionals with more than 20 years of experience in managing national and international projects and in operating underground energy storage infrastructures.

Additionally, Trinity's technical team participates in various European Union-funded research projects focused on renewable energy storage (mainly hydrogen), as well as in multiple forums, industry associations, and other research groups.

Trinity Energy Storage has its headquarters in Madrid and operates the Marismas Underground Storage facility from its operational base in the province of Huelva

Our way of working

Our activity is underpinned by five principles that guide both the operation of our infrastructure and the development of new projects.

Strategic infrastructure

We develop and operate assets that provide security, resilience, and flexibility to the energy system, guaranteeing the security of the energy supply.

R+D+i

Research and innovation are fundamental to the development of Trinity Energy Storage's future infrastructure.

We are actively participating in the development of the European renewable hydrogen underground storage ecosystem and are present in five initiatives representing a joint investment of 49 million euros.

The objective of these projects is to generate knowledge and validate solutions related to energy storage and, in particular, to the underground storage of renewable hydrogen.

Trinity Energy Storage is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Teset Capital. Teset Capital is an independent fund manager specialising in European mid-market infrastructure investments.
